## v0.2.47 — 2026-09-24
**A first sync no longer stops on your parcels.** plMail reads new mail fifty messages at a time
and turns what it recognises (a parcel, an invoice, a login code) into a card on the radar. When
two mails in the same fifty were about the same thing, say the shipping and the delivery notice for
one parcel, each made a card of its own, and saving them broke the rule of one card per thing. That
failed save took the rest of the sync with it: every message in the next fifty was logged as
"Failed to build message; it is asked for again next sync", with "The EntityManager is closed" as
the reason, and the folder stopped until the next sync. A fresh install reads thousands of messages
in its first sync, so it ran into this within minutes. The two mails now share one card, which
follows the newer mail, and a card that cannot be saved no longer stops the mail behind it.
- **One folder's failure stays in that folder.** When a folder failed to sync, the folders after it
in the same account failed too, and each of their messages was blamed for it. They sync as usual
now.
- **Every folder remembers its last check.** When plMail checks a folder against the server, it
notes when it did and the folder's UIDVALIDITY, the number a server changes when it rebuilds a
folder. In a sync of a whole account, every folder after the first one with new mail lost those
notes, so a folder rebuilt on the server was not recognised as rebuilt. Every folder keeps them
now.
- **A fresh install stops logging a warning every second.** Until someone pressed Restart workers
in the admin panel, the worker logged `Failed to fetch key "workers.restart_requested_timestamp"`
about once a second, because the table that signal is kept in did not exist yet. It is created
when the containers start now, and an existing install gets it on its next start.
### Before you upgrade
- **Nothing has to change.** There is no migration, and the compose files stay as they are.
- **No mail went missing.** A batch that failed was fetched again on the next sync, and no message
was given up on. The cards of the failed batches were lost, though. If your worker log shows "The
EntityManager is closed", run `docker compose exec php php bin/console app:backfill insights`
once after upgrading: it reads your stored mail again and brings them back.
## v0.2.46 — 2026-09-24
**Three containers instead of nine.** Everything plMail runs besides the web server now runs in one
